TT is not excluding KPERS retirement income from the State K-40 return. The income was entered per a 1099-R. Why isn't KPERS being excluded from the Modifications to Kansas income?

Edit the KPERS 1099-R in the federal section again...

.......then on one of the followup pages after you continue after the maim 1099-R form page (Where Is This Distribution From? ) make sure the KPERS source is selected  (picture below)

ANNND..the Kansas distribution amount is not a zero....it is the same as box 2a of the 1099-R (or the federally-taxable amount calculated from box 1, if box 2a is empty).

That distribution amount is what would be subtracted from KS income....dependent on what the selection was at the top of the page....so if you made the KPERS selection, and then incorrectly put a zero in the "Kansas Distribution Amount"...then a zero is subtracted from KS income.

TT does not present me with the screen Where is the Distribution From and both box 1 and 2a contain the correct dollar amount (not zero).  Now what?
