La Schedule E is required to adjust USAF retired pay which is not taxed in Louisiana so why must we contact you every year to have it done?

Please see our 2016 to view a Schedule E from our LA tax return!  We have never had to pay Louisiana taxes because of a class action suit years ago regarding the retired pay!

Your state information feeds from the federal input.  To enter your retirement pay exclusion, follow these steps:

  • Click Personal Info in the white banner.
  • Click Edit next to the name of the person who earned the pay.
  • Click Yes on the last question (see attached example).
  • Click Continue and select Retired.
  • Click State in the white banner to ensure the change took effect.
