If you are referring to an RMD, the income is considered taxable; however, only a side by side review of 2023 and 2024 will reveal the difference.

If you have a copy of your 2023 taxes (Form 1040) you can use that.

If you used TurboTax last year you can get a previous year tax return:

    • Sign in to your TurboTax account.
    • Make sure you're using the same TurboTax account (same user ID) as in previous years.

There are two ways to get your prior-year returns:

    1. Select Documents from the menu, use the dropdown menu to choose the tax year you want, and select Download tax PDF.
    2. On Tax home, scroll down and select Your tax returns & documents. Select the year you want and select Download/print return (PDF).

To see your current 2024 tax return.

     From the left sidebar

    1. Select Tax tools
      1. You may have to minimize the Federal and State selections
    2. Click Tools
    3. A Menu will pop up
    4. Select View tax summary
    5. On the left panel click Preview my 1040

    Some Key numbers:

    • 12 Deductions
    • 15 Taxable income
    • 16 Tax
    • 19 Child Tax Credit
    • 33 Withholdings
    • 34 Refund
    • 34 Underpayment
