During 2016 we were granted an income related adjustment and received a refund of for Clay & Peggy. SSA-1099 did not exclude these refunds in the Medicare Part B. I did not locate any area to submit the refund figures so I subtracted it from the total of our additional medical premiums. Peggy's premiums were paid out of pocket until Nov when she turned 66. Would this be the place I would do this?"
Yes, it's fine to do it this way as long as you know the refund of those premiums is not included in the social security income section of the Form SSA-1099.
