Military pay does not require RMD. Why is Turbotax trying to check the RMD amount when I file?

Check This Entry -- "Form 1099-R from Defense Finance and Accounting Service: RMD check box or partial RMD amount should have an entry if there was an RMD for this account."

Say all of it is the RMD. you turned 72 or older in 2024 it will ask you if it is the RMD. Say yes. Anything your pension pays you is considered to be the RMD. Traditional pensions automatically fulfill the rules of an RMD. So for the RMD question put in the same amount as box 1.
