Why did TurboTax import my 2024 1099R for MRD taken in 2025?

 

Isn't my 2024 MRD reported on my 2025 taxes?

    How can you have a 2024 1099-R for a distribution that was taken in 2025? A distribution that was taken in 2025 should be on your 2025 1099-R that you get a year from now.


    TurboTax imports what the financial institution gives it. There might be something you are misunderstanding, or ask the financial institution that issued the 2024 1099-R to explain what's going on.
