my child received social security retirement as she is y minor child. where do i enter this income?

    Is it Social Security Survivors or Disability Benefits? That income isn't reported on your tax return. 

     

    Your child doesn't have to report it on their tax return unless they have other income and it's over the base amount ($25,000 if the child is single). If that's the case, they must file their own tax returns.
