If you are working on the section in TurboTax Online for IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R), the program will prompt you to enter information from or upload a Form 1099-R.

If you have another form of retirement income, such as Social Security, go to the Income section, scroll down until the Search box appears, and type "Social Security" or other item in the box. TurboTax will then bring up the appropriate box.

If you received pension income and weren't provided a Form 1099-R, contact the financial institution or other company that paid you the income.

If you are using the Desktop version of TurboTax, you can click on Show Topic List on the black bar at the top of the screen, and choose the section you need.

If you don't have retirement income, you can skip that section under Income.

See this help article for more information on reporting retirement and other forms of income in TurboTax.
