Question

My husband receives a pension from the state - IPERS Iowa Public Employee's Retirement System - what would the RMD amount be for 2024; he turned 73 in 2023.

    Just enter the $$ amount (total) that he received.  The pension system has figured out the exact $$ amount according to standard IRS guidelines long ago, and that is what they send.

     

    When entering the $$ amount, just drop the cents part entirely (and don't round up)
