My minor children receive Social Security. Do I claim this on my 2023 tax return?
Minor children with income
No. Do not enter your children's Social Security on your tax return. It does not get entered anywhere until someday if they have a job after school, etc. and file a tax return of their own. Then they have to include it on their own tax return.
