Question

My mother passed in 2017 and I received some 1099-B, 1099-DIV and 1099-INT in 2018. They are still under her social. Can I claim the $$ on my taxes?

If there assets passed to you upon death then they can be reported on your return.

You should notify the issuer to update the name and SSN.

If they are still part of the Estate and not passed to you, then they would go a 1041 return for your deceased mother.

    Sorry for your loss.
