Question

My mother receives wellfare and my disabled brother receives SSI benefits and I work. Can I file for more than half if there income is govermental

Not all my income goes to household expenses but I do pay for groceries and bills. Although I don't pay the rent. I refrained from saying I gained more than half because the wellfare pays for a lot. Although I'm other aspect I do support my family

You may be able to claim a family member as a dependent for tax purposes. However, you would have to pay for more than half of their support to do so. Furthermore, to file as a head of household, you would need to pay for over half the cost of the home you all live in.
