Retirement contributions on your W-2 are probably for a 401k.   You enter that from the boxes on your W-2 (usually box 12) and do not enter it again anywhere else in the program.   The information will flow to the appropriate schedule in the return.

If you have contributions to an employer tax deferred retirement plan, such as a 401(k) or 403(b), your contributions are on the W-2 Box 12 with a code of D.  You do not enter these contributions anywhere else on a tax return.

If you have not created a personal IRA outside of the employer plan, do not use the IRA or Roth contribution section of the program.
