My social security number on my W-2 contains XXX-XX-and the last four of my social. Turbo Tax will not let me put in the X's because the space will only take numbers ?

How do I add my social security number so it matches my W-2?

Type in your SSN manually.  Do not use X's.

Always enter your correct social security number on your return. Employers may make mistakes, but you would never duplicate their mistake on your return, just to make them match.

I believe XXX-XX- may be for W-2 SSN new starting with 2020 for security reasons.

TurboTax missed it the first time on smart check but shown as error on forms.
