Question

My software won't e-file. This appears to be related to the excess contribution to my husband's 401(k). Can you tell me when a fix for this will be available?

Not only have I re-confirmed that the withholding amounts from his W-2's are correct multiple times in multiple places, but I also completed a Form 4852 as a substitute 1099-R for the funds that were already returned to offset the excess contribution.  My state requires e-filing, and I've already paid the additional $25 for it.  Also, I do not WANT to print and mail my federal turn.  I don't believe that expecting to e-file via TurboTax, which I have done every year for a long time, is unreasonable.  I've spent way too much time fighting this and trying to find a workaround.  I need a solution.  My husband found something in the community posts that looks like you guys are working on a fix, but it said it would be out there 4/5.  It's 4/6 now, and no such luck.  I use the software on my computer, by the way, not the online version.  Please tell me you're working on it and you're close.

This is extremely disappointing.  I feel very let down by TurboTax from this answer.
