Question
NJState Page: "Roth Conversion for You" " Value of Account on Date of Distribution"?? Which account? Roth or IRA? It has the full IRA distribution autofilled.
I have found in the past that the State pages are even less friendly than the Fed. What is it asking for with "Value of Account on Date of Distribution" Which account? The full IRA Distribution is autopopulated, but on a portion I converted. I have no idea what to fill in here. I filled in the fairmarket value of the account from the 5498, but have no idea if that's what it's asking for. It won't affect my 2022 NJ taxes. But I'd sure like to know if I did it right.
