nondeductible IRA

Please follow these steps in TurboTax Online to enter your total basis for 2023 and earlier years:

1. Sign in to TurboTax and open or continue your return
2. Under the Deductions and Credits section, select Add/Edit next to Traditional and Roth IRA Contributions
3. Check the box for Traditional IRA and choose Continue
4. Walk through the TurboTax interview screens and on the Any Nondeductible Contributions to Your IRA? screen choose YES and then Continue
5. Enter the amount in the Total Basis as of December 31, 2023 box and click Continue
6. Continue through the interview questions to complete the entry
