Question

On form 5329 line 54a & 54b there are fields to the left of the amount fields. How do you enter RC and the amount of the shortfall want waived on the dotted line?

How to fill out form 5329?

    On the IRS's 5329 (see here), these lines are the result of calculations (lines 53 and 52). There is no field to the left of the amount field, just an instruction to not enter a negative number.

     

    What do you mean by "RC" and "shortfall...waived"?

     

    NOTE: normally, you do not fill out the 5329, you complete by answering questions in the TurboTax interview.
