Question

On the state page titled Medical Care Insurance, it says to "Enter any amount deducted from your monthly Social Security Benefit for ... Parts B and D". In which field?

The fields are labeled: Self-Employed; Employee; or "Employee or Unemployed". There is no clear choice for Medicare Parts B and D.

Can you tell us which state? And is "Medical Care Insurance" the heading at the top of the screen?

It's for the state of Wisconsin. Yes, "Medical Care Insurance" is the heading at the top of the screen. I have since completed the page, entering Medicare part B and D in the third available space. I then completed my tax returns, and the amount correctly was added to space 6 on the Wisconsin tax return. This conforms with the Wisconsin State Tax website recommendation, which I found on the official state website.

I assume you meant line 6 on Schedule SB.

It looks like you found the right spot.

I am still confused.  Are medicare premium payments (B) deducted from social security deductible in Wisconsin and if so where do retirees put this amount .  I only see worksheets for people who are employed and in the walk through section of Turbo tax I see no place to put these premiums.

Yes, you can deduct the amounts deducted from your social security payments for Part B and Part D coverage.   If you are retired, and not self-employed, use the last entry spot (Employee or Unemployed).   The amount will transfer to Line 6 of Schedule SB and be subtracted from your total WI income.  @Shyswi
