BOTH of our names are on ONE 1099-R. The others have JUST one of our names on them. The question is how do I enter the 1099-R that has two names? The TT form for 1099-Rs only allows for one name.
Did you begin your joint return correctly so that your income can go under both names?
When you entered your own information in Personal Info, you would have to answer the question "Were you married?" If you clicked the button for Married, then a drop down would appear that asks, "Do you want to file this return together with your spouse?" Then you choose yes to file a joint return. You would then enter your spouse's information into Personal Info. Whenever you are entering income information there should then be a spot for you and for your spouse's income information.
You could split the 1099R and report it as two 1099R's, one in each name. In this case, you could divide all entries on the 1099R by half for each 1099R so that it matches the total on the 1099R that was issued.
