OPM Annuity RMD

If you have an OPM annuity and TurboTax asks for an RMD amount, here is a way to respond.

OPM Annuity Explanation: An OPM annuity is a retirement benefit for federal employees. The annuity payments you receive typically satisfy the Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) requirements.

TurboTax Instructions:

• When TurboTax asks if the withdrawal is an RMD, select "Yes."
• Confirm that all of the withdrawal is RMD and that it is paid periodically in equal amounts.

No Need to Enter Zero: You do not need to enter zero (0) for the RMD amount. Just follow the prompts and confirm the details as mentioned.
