Question

Payer of my pension is different from last year. How do I delete the old payer?

Payer of my pension changed from last year to this year. I entered the new payer. Should I have used the old payer but changed the name, address and ID#? I can't seem to delete the old payer.

    You should not use the old payer. You should delete the old Form 1099-R from your program as follows:

     

    1. Choose the Tax Tools option on your left menu bar

    2. Choose Tools

    3. Choose the Delete a form option under Other Helpful links 

    4. Find the Form 1099-R that references the old pension company in the list and delete it
