in past years when I keyed my 1099 r, I got a pop up so could use the simplification method. this year this did not happen. the amounts in box 1 and 2a have always been the same. no boxes check in 2b, l didst code 7.

how can I access the simplification worksheet to reduce my taxable income?

At the screen Any Periodic Payments? did you select Yes, got regular payments from this retirement account?

At the screen Describe the Taxable Amount, did you select No, a different amount was taxable?

At the screen Tell Us the Taxable Amount Method, did you select Simplified method?

Are you reporting an OPM CSA 1099-R or something else?
