Question

Program is asking for an employer id number. I am retired on social security and the 1099 sa doesn't have an employer id number on it..How do I get this fixed

Where are you entering this 1099-SA? The 1099-SA interview doesn't ask for an employer ID number. It does ask for the Payer's ID number (the payer being the HSA custodian).

 

Are you perhaps in the Social Security interview (which is a SSA-1099)?
