I don't know what to do or how to file this form in turbotax. I Received a form 1099-R my employer ended former pension plan and adopted a 401k plan I took the option to do a direct rollover of the lump sum of the former pension plan into my 401k plan. There's the lump sum in box 1 (5,701.15) and a code G on 7, 2a shows 0.00, Box 2b shows total distribution box checked, Box 4 shows 0.00 and Box 14 Shows 0.00 and that's about all there is what now?

Thank you.

Please follow these steps to enter your 1099-R:

  1. Login to your TurboTax Account
  2. Click on the Search box on the top and type “1099-R”
  3. Click on “Jump to 1099-R” and enter your 1099-R
  4. Answer the follow up questions carefully

You can verify you entry on line 5 of Form 1040, it should say rollover and $0 in line 5b (taxable part).

To preview Form 1040:

  1. Click on "Tax Tools" in the left menu
  2. Click "Tools"
  3. Click "View Tax Summary" in the Tool Center window
  4. Click on "Preview my 1040" on the left
