Reducing IRA early withdrawal penalty - Why will turbo tax not give me the field for qualified education expenses? It did for 2023 not 2024

    The distribution will NOT be subject to the 10% additional early distribution tax when used for Qualified Higher education expenses. 

    Exceptions to the 10% additional tax

    When you enter you 1099R in TurboTax continue until you get to the screen "Let's See If We Can Lower Your Tax Bill", continue to the next screen Did you use your IRA to pay for any of these expenses? Enter the amount.
