Report Foreign income from stocks

I have some foreign stocks in my Robinhood portfolio that distributed some qualified and nonqualified dividends in 2024, about $50 total. Robinhood also provided a summary form with these dividends,  but not a 1099 form.

How do I report these dividends?

I believe you may have received a 1099 DIV that had a Foreign Tax reported in Box7. Robinhood is giving you this information so you can claim the Foreign Tax Credit for this year.

If this is the case, you will receive a screen that asks for this information that follows the 1099 DIV information.. Here you will record the amount of Foreign Dividend and the country where the foreign dividend originated from.

@DaveF1006

Box 7 on my 1099 DIV from Robinhood shows $0. However, Box 1a amount seems to include all the foreign dividends as well.

Does this mean that I just need to report 1099 DIV as usual and do not need to report the foreign dividends separately?

Yes, this is correct because there is no foreign tax paid thus you don't need to report the foreign dividends separately.
