My 7 year old child receives a monthly SS payment as part of my (his father) Social Security benefits.  He receives a 1099 for this income.  Do I need to file a separate return for this income?

No.  If his only income is Social Security benefits you do not need to file a tax return for him.  Neither should you include the benefits on your tax return.

My minor daughter received social security benefit when I retired.  Last year she did not have any other income and I did not file a return for her.  This year she earned a little over $200.  Does she need to file a separate return from mine.

@Wayne4823 No, your daughter does not need to file a return with $200 of Earned Income to report.
