Question

RMD on my income is NONE were ARMD. The app won't e-file, it keeps going back to correct the RMD. Is there any way to get past this or do I have to print and snail mail?

The automatic explanation in the app says we're working on RMD for users like your situation, check back. So, I will hold off going further and check back periodically.

    What is the 1099R for?  Like a Pension?  Just say all of it is the RMD and put in the same amount as in box 1.  The pension doesn't need to calculate any RMD. Anything your pension pays you is considered to be the RMD. Traditional pensions automatically fulfill the rules of an RMD.
