RMD withdrawal from regular IRA is not showing entered as taxable on 4(b)

Just spent almost 2 hours on phone to try get corrected - they could not get it corrected!

I have used TurboTax for many years but this is first time I have had them report income incorrectly (at least that I know of)

How do I get this fixed?

Does the amount of the withdrawal appear on Form 1040 line 4a?

Is there any abbreviation or notation to the left of the space for the amount on line 4b?

Do you have other 1099-R forms, or just the one for the withdrawal that is not shown as taxable?

On the screen in TurboTax where you entered the 1099-R:

    • Is the taxable amount entered in box 2a? Is it the same amount as in box 1?
    • What is the distribution code in box 7?
    • Is the IRA/SEP/SIMPLE box checked?
    • Are there any amounts entered in boxes 3, 5, 6, or 8 through 10?

In the questions after entering the 1099-R, did you say that you transferred part or all of the distribution to charity?

When TurboTax asked what you did with the money from the IRA, what answer did you select?

Did it maybe show up on 1040 line 5b?
