Should I change my legal name on turbotax? Or will the IRS know I have anyway, since I've already changed it with the SSA?

Literally cannot find the option to do so on TurboTax's website and all my tax documents are under the old name. Still, feel like I should file with my new name?

You should file your 2023 tax returns using your new name.  Prepare the tax return using the documents that you received with the old name.  Then notify the providers of W-2's, 1099 forms, etc. so that your name on future forms will be correct.

When the tax return is transmitted to the IRS, the IRS will check the Social Security number and the name against the Social Security files.

If the Social Security Administration has been notified, the Social Security files should be updated.

In TurboTax Online, correct your name under My Info.
