Question

Should I receive a 1099-r if I took a loan from my retirement plan? I have not received one from my job but I have a W-2 form.

I just took out this loan in December so I'm not sure if I only get the 1099-r if my payments are late or if I get one regardless.

A loan from a 401(k) retirement account is not reported on a tax return and you will not receive a Form 1099-R
