Question

Should I submit both1099r forms? I left one job and rolled it over to my new job. I dont see an option to select rollover. It only has roth over and this is not roth

When I submit both it doubles my true amount

    Yes you should enter both 1099-R's.

     

    Post the first one for the rollover from the company you left

     

    Log into TurboTax

    1. Under Federal
    2. Select Wages & Income
    3. Scroll to and select IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R)
    4. Now Edit the entry you've already posted
    5. Continue the interview to
    6. Where is your distribution from?
    7. None of the above
    8. What kind of retirement plan do you have ...?
    9. Qualified plan (most common)
    10. Do any of these situations apply to you?
    11. None of these apply
    12. How much of the $XX,XXX was a RMD?
    13. None of this withdrawal was an RMD
    14. Tell us if you moved the money through a rollover or conversion
    15. I rolled over some or all of it to an IRA or other retirement account within the time limits (normally 60 days)

    Post the second one as a distribution

     

    You can check tout tax return

     

    From the left sidebar

    1. Select Tax tools
    2. Hint: You may have to minimize the Federal and State selections
    3. Click Tools
    4. A Menu will pop up
    5. Select View tax summary
    6. On the left panel click Preview my 1040
