So did my tax total include my self employment social security and medicare taxes?

Yes, your tax total includes any Social Security and Medicare taxes from self employment.


When you file a Schedule C (Self Employment) and show a profit, TurboTax automatically generates a Schedule SE (Self Employed Taxes). The amount of self employment taxes is then carried to line 4 on Schedule 2 (1040).
