Tax Withholding for Teachers

As a 10-month employee, I do not get paid throughout the entire year. What strategy can I use to help figure out how much to withhold on my W-4?

I am not sure that you need to make any adjustment to your W-4, unless you like some teachers are also working another job during the two to three months you are not working as a teacher helping your students achieve.  

 

Since your income is paid over a ten-month period the withholdings are also taken over the same ten-month period, so there should be no mismatch.

 

If you do have other employment you want to reflect that you have more then one job on the W-4 for the second job though.
