Question

The 1099-R has recipient "my name" "A/C his name deceased." Should this be this included in his income or my income?

He was entitled to the  income was for the partial month he was still living but I received the money after his death.    It is military retirement pay if that helps.

I'm sorry for your loss.

 

The income should be listed under that name of the individual who's social security number appears on it.
