Solved

The EIN for my employer is too long to type in by three digits, but they've had the same one for years and have never had a problem with it. Why can't I enter it in full?

Federal EINs are nine digits long and formatted like this: XX-XXXXXXX. If the number you are trying to enter is longer than nine digits, it is not their EIN.

Be sure not to enter the dash, just type the numbers and Turbo Tax will add the dash.
