Question

There is an error on form 2106. As much as I go back to where the form gets it's information, it does not change it on the final review and it doesn't allow me to correct

The form is related to Maximum AMT allowed for depreciation. It should get fixed by changing Deductions & Credit but is not changing it.

    @mposadas  did you override any depreciation methods on your return?

    Are you using a desktop version?  Easiest to use. If you are go to forms mode and look for any form with a red exclamation point and try to repair from there.

     

    If you are subject to AMT, you are normally better off actually depreciating assets longer term and not expensing them as most likely you don't get to take losses.
