There is not a box 2a or 2b on my 1099-DIV. do I leave that blank on the Turbo Tax form?

Yes- leave any field blank if it doesn't apply to you. Many people do not have dividend info for those fields.

You do at least see the label Box 1a- ordinary dividends, Box 1b, qualified dividends, correct?

If he's having the same issue I am, its not that those boxes are blank.  It's that those boxes are missing.
