Question

There's 2 sets of local taxes listed on my w2. Boxes 18 and 20 are the same, but box 19 has 2 different numbers. What should I do?

It won't let me continue because the 2 box 20's both have the same locality name.

You are going to have to contact your HR/payroll people and ask them what they meant. Why did they put two sets of numbers in box 19?

Box 20 is the name of the locality (usually city/county/school district), so how much of your tax dollars did they send to that locality? Was it the sum of those two numbers, which they split apart on the W-2 for some unknown reason? If so, you can just delete the second line of boxes 18/19/20, and enter the sum of the two numbers in the one box 19.

But I am just guessing - ask your HR/payroll people.
