Question

Took a 1099-R disbursement under COVID-19 in 2020. Does that count as a disaster distribution (3 year payback on taxes). I don't know how to find 8915

In the context of reporting the distribution made in 2020 where the distribution was spread across 3 years you would answer Yes.

The distribution is entered on the new IRS Form 8915-F.  This form is not yet available in TurboTax

Form 8915-F, Qualified Disaster Retirement Plan Distributions and Retirements for tax year 2021 is estimated to be available in TurboTax on 03/31/2022 (possibly sooner)
