Tried filing Tax return. IRS said my EIN not identified with what they had on record. The EIN they received was missing the hyphen on all my 1099R forms

IRS rejected my filed tax return.  The said the EIN number didn't match their records.  They sent me the error.  Noticed the EIN was correct but missing the hyphen between the second and third digit.  Turbo Tax must be dropping the hyphen in the EIN to give such and error.  (Software Problem?)

No ... the program puts the hyphen in automatically ... so if you check what you entered against the number on the forms and they are correct then your only option is to mail in the return.  This is not an issue you can cure or did you cause.
