Question

TT does not correct Maryland tax form for the state's military pension deduction. Doesn't generate form 502SU or correct line 13. How to manually add to line 13 form 502?

Maryland resident military retirement income is partially tax exempt. If under 55, first 12,500, if over 55 first $20,000 should be subtracted from income. Turbotax doesn't make this adjustment

First, did you correctly mark this as a military retirement distribution in the screens after you enter the 1099-R?

On the screen above, check "active or reserve military retirement"

There should be an exclusion for you. Can you see your final return (i.e., are you using the Online product or the CD/download product)?
