Turbo Tax adds both line 5a and 5b on line 6. That double counts my social security income. Is that correct?

Only line 5b is added to line 6. Add 1-5 in the right hand column.

And anything from schedule 1. On the new 1040 there are some lines that include amounts from the new schedules. Like total income on line 6 won't equal lines 1-5. There could be more income from schedule 1 to the left of line 6.
