Turbo Tax asks for information on my 1099-R from box 13 - there is NO box 13 on my tax form. I cannot go forward because of that box - 13 help me!

It depends.  Box 13 is an important box on the W-2, however it's not common for box 13 to be an issue for your 1099-R. It is asking for a 'Date of Payment' and is not a regular entry spot.

In your situation, you should first clear your cache and cookies. It handles many issues that seem nonsensical on a regular basis. 

• Close your TurboTax return first.

Watch to be sure you are selecting 'all time' as example.  Do not use selections like 'last hour' for those browsers that give  you options.

Once this is complete open your return and select to enter your income. 

1. Select Federal in the left menu and then Wages & Income, OR 
2. Search (upper right) type 1099r > Jump to... link
3. Review the entry again and then you can use the following to look at your 1040.

• To find Tools: 
  • Sign into your TurboTax account and open or continue your return. 
  • Select Tax Tools in the left menu. 
  • You'll find Tools beneath Tax Tools.
  • Select View Tax Summary
  • Select Preview My 1040 (left black panel)
