Turbo tax keeps asking for info from my W2 but I'm retired and only have a 1099 how do I continue

    Tell the software you do not have any W-2's.   If an old employer transferred over from last year and keeps showing up in Wages & Income, delete the employer.

     

    To enter your retirement income, Go to  Federal> Wages and Income>Retirement Plans and Social Security>IRA  401 k) Pension Plan Withdrawals to enter your 1099R.

     

     Go to Federal> Wages & Income>>Retirement Plans and Social Security  (SSA1099 and 1099RRB) to enter your SSA1099.

    Just skip the W-2 section and continue so that you can enter the 1099.
