TurboTax federal ask if military retirement is Bailey or Armed forces in NC

Does the Federal return automatically transfer to NC return? It seems mine did not and asked again.

    Yes.  if you indicated that your retirement income from the 1099R is eligible for the Bailey Settlement, you would enter this in the follow-up questions after entering your 1099R. When you answer this, it would automatically transfer to your NC return.
