TurboTax is asking about a form 1099-B, and I don't have such a form. Where do I get it?

The 1099-B is included in the Premiere software which it looks like you already have.

The 1099-b has to do with the sale of something.  It could be:

  • Stocks
  • Cryptocurrency
  • Property
  • Personal objects
  • Almost anything you sold

This is not to be confused with a business that regularly sells things.  It's for items you personally sold.

If you had items that were sold you can post it

  1. Scroll to Investments and Savings
  2. Select Stocks, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other (1099-B)
  3. Time to kick off your investments! = Okay
  4. Relax. We got it.= Continue
  5. Let's import your tax info = Enter a different way
  6. Select what you want to post from the 5 boxes.
  7. Select The appropriate box = Continue
  8. Continue the interview
