Question

TurboTax keeps unnecessarily asking me to review an account from which I withdrew less than the RMD even though I withdrew the sum of all my RMDs from other IRA accounts.

Because of this issue I was told by TurboTax that I cannot file online. I can only print my return and mail it. How can I resolve this?

    In TurboTax Desktop, follow these steps to correct the RMD amounts.

     

    1. Return to the Required Minimum Distribution screens that appear after entering the pension distribution.
    2. Enter the RMD due by December 31 2024.
    3. At the screen How much of this distribution applied to your December 31, 2024 RMD, select The entire distribution applied to the December 31, 2024 RMD.
