Unemployment 1099-G: I applied in Dec 2023 but didn't receive payment until 2024, is this why I didn't receive a 1099-G?

I applied in early December 2023 when I was laid-off, but then received payment for 3 weeks in December at the end of January 2024 where my weekly payments started. Is this why I don't receive a 1099-G? Just want to make sure if I don't need to file them until next year or not.

Did you get three checks in December 2023?
- If you did, you should get a 1099-G for that.
Did you continue to get checks in 2024?
- You should get the 1099-G for that next year.
If you did get the payments in December 2023, you should call the unemployment office and request the 1099-G.
